While we don’t have any actual artists in the club we do have a whole lot of wannabe artisans instead. Thus, we have put up arts and crafts sessions for the purpose of creating items to sell for raising money.
We have made candles, wrist-warmers, brooches, Easter eggs, dishcloths, home slippers, sugar flowers, reflecting tassels etc.
Then The Disease hit the world, and end of getting together meant end of trade. But lucky enough, we have innovative individuals in the club. Our market stall was turned into an online shop! Now the items are photographed and presented on the internet, and customers either pick them up or have them sent by mail.
The shop opened right before Christmas, and in a few weeks only yield was close to 800 Euros!
Creativity is what it takes!
