ZONTA INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT 20 FINLAND AND ESTONIA
The global Zonta International is divided into districts. Finland and Estonia form District 20. Each Zonta club is a member of its own district, and each Zonta member is a member of her own club.
The first Zonta club in Finland was founded in Helsinki in 1934. Estonia’s first club was founded in Tartu in 1991.
Zonta International District 20 cooperates and works with like-minded organisations. ZI District 20 is a member organisation of the Central Association of Women’s Organisations, UN Women Finland, the Finnish UN Association, the Finnish 1325 Network and Responsible Donations. District 20 has a cooperation agreement with the Federation of Mother and Child Homes and Shelters (ETKL) in the fight against violence against women.
