Zonta International
Zonta International (ZI) is a global, politically and religiously independent human rights organisation that focuses on improving the rights of women and girls. Zonta International envisions a future world where women are equal to men in all areas of life and society, and no woman lives in fear of violence. All activities at the international, national and local levels serve these goals.

We make an impact by implementing practical projects and campaigns and by participating in forums that promote and monitor women’s rights. Zonta International has had consultative status since 1969 (General Consultative Status ) with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), the NGO Forum in New York, Geneva, Vienna and Paris, and has been a consultative member of the Council of Europe since 1983.
